Prosper is a great place to raise a family.
May 21, 2009

“Prosper  is a fabulous place to live and we’ve created a web Site to provide families looking for a new home  a wealth of information about living in Prosper.  The web  Site can be found at www.ProsperinProsper.com  and is being promoted on billboards and in magazines and newspaper.

“People  don’t realize how easy it is to get to Prosper now that the Tollway is open up through  Prosper. Families will find it convenient to everything they need, yet offer  some things they can’t find in most other north Texas cities,” said a spokesman for the PAC steering committee.

“Families want space and in Prosper we offer oversized lots in beautiful, master-planned communities as well as one- acre lots and acreage parcels of land,“  he added.  “ Prosper  has many ranches, farms and  acreage estates due to its heritage as a farming and ranch community which gives it a rural feel with  wide open spaces.

Located just north of Hwy. 380 between  1385 on the west and Custer Road to the east, Prosper encompasses 27 square miles and straddles the Dallas North Tollway and Preston Road making it one of the best locations in North Texas.  It is  just a short drive to Frisco and Plano sports and entertainment districts, regional shopping  and major employment centers.   DFW Airport is an easy a 35 minute drive via the Tollway and Hwy. 121.

With a population of 7,116, Prosper is served by the Prosper Independent School  District offering outstanding academics as well as state championship sports teams.

“The Prosper ISD schools have an outstanding reputation and with the tremendous  support we have from our parents and the community as a whole, Prosper students enjoy a highly motivated and supportive  learning environment,” the PAC spokesman added.

“We have outstanding teachers and many new schools offering  the finest  facilities and latest technology for our students, “ said Dr. Drew Watkins, superintendent of Prosper ISD.  “Education is the top priority for our residents who passed a large bond package last year to ensure sure our students receive the best possible education.”
